Moberly utility crews will perform large scale water main repairs on South 5th Street and the surrounding neighborhood beginning Monday, March 3.
This project will replace a section of cast iron pipe uncovered during a leak discovered in January, as well as update multiple water main shut off valves. Doing so will necessitate water service interruption for most of the day in the following areas:
-400 – 800 Blocks of South 5th Street,
-600 – 700 Blocks of South 4th Street,
-400 – 800 Blocks of South Williams Street,
-400 Block of West Carpenter Street,
-300 – 500 Block of Gillman Street,
-412 West Logan Street,
-500 West Logan Street,
(Outage may affect surrounding areas)
If residents experience low water pressure, or have no water, in their area, there will be a 48-hour Boil Advisory once water service is restored. Boil advisories are due to the time required for testing to confirm water quality in the system. During an advisory, water used for consumption should be boiled for 3 minutes and cooled before drinking.
Customers with questions should call Moberly’s water office at 660-263-4420.
