A Sedalia man was injured after striking a deer on a Pettis County roadway on Friday, February 28.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred when a motorcycle ridden by a 19-year-old Sedalia man struck a deer on Route B, west of Raygar Road in Pettis County. The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The accident occurred at 6:35 p.m. in Pettis County.
