
The Missouri Tigers women’s basketball team closed out the regular season schedule with a 100-59 drubbing by Vanderbilt on Sunday, March 2 at Mizzou Arena.
The Tigers recognized four seniors at the beginning of the game, with one of those seniors De’Myla Brown giving Mizzou its only lead of the game with a three-point basket 90 seconds into the contest. Once Vanderbilt claimed the lead, the Commodores would not look back, costing to an 18-point lead at the half behind 14 points from the bench, and shooting 55.6 percent from the field to hit the century mark against their fourth SEC opponent. Mikayla Blakes had 29 points on the night, including six three-pointers, to lead Vanderbilt. Mizzou had a pair of players in double-figures, with Brown posting 16 points and Laniah Randle adding ten.
The Tigers wrap up the regular season with a 14-17 mark, including 3-13 in the conference. They’ll have the 15th seed in the SEC Tournament beginning Wednesday in Greenville, South Carolina, and will face the 10-seed, Mississippi State, at 5 p.m.
