The Carrollton Town Council gave their nod Monday, March 3 to a 20-year renewal with Spire for the city’s natural gas franchise.

Mayor Susie Bliss says questions about the franchise agreement were resolved at their most recent meeting.

The town council was initially scheduled to discuss the budget, but computer problems forced the council to postpone discussions to their next meeting March 17. Bliss describes one change in the proposed budget, pertaining to the police department’s fleet.

Bliss says the proposed budget will allocate $40,000 in payments toward the fleet.
