School leaders at Sedalia Schools continue to weigh their options for how to structure their calendar for the next academic year.

Supt. Dr Todd Fraley says a new survey is asking parents if they are willing to forgo parent-teacher conferences during the spring.

Another decision weighing on Fraley and district administrators is whether to make a switch for staff health insurance coverage. Fraley says they’re still shopping around for the best possible deal.

Fraley presented updates at last Monday’s Sedalia 200 Board of Education meeting. The board also discussed a number of proposed policy updates, as well as the district’s long-term facilities plan, and whether to add an additional extra-duty position for a Student Council sponsor.
