A collision in southern Carroll County sent a Carrollton woman to the hospital Saturday, March 8.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the 59-year-old woman was a passenger in a pickup that was heading north on U.S. Route 65 about three miles north of Waverly, when at around 5:45 p.m., it was struck by a southbound car that had crossed the center line. She was flown to a Kansas City hospital with serious injuries. Neither driver in the crash had any reported injuries.
