An 11-point run in the first half left the 15th-ranked Mizzou Tigers chasing the 19th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats all afternoon, eventually falling 91-83 to close out the regular season on Saturday, March 8 at Mizzou Arena.

The Tigers led by as much as seven, supported by three-point baskets from Tony Perkins and Caleb Grill. Kentucky responded with their 11-point run, the longest of the game, to take the lead and not look back. They led by as much as 16 in the second half, boosted by a 52-percent field goal percentage after halftime. Despite netting eight three-pointers in the second half, the Tigers could not keep out of foul trouble, as Kentucky made 33 trips to the charity stripe, claiming 26 of their attempts.

Mark Mitchell led Mizzou with 22 points, while Marques Warrick tallied 17 and Jacob Crews netted 12. The Tigers dropped their third straight game and four of their last five to wrap up the regular season with a 21-10 mark, including 10-8 in the SEC. They’ll have the seventh seed this week in Nashville for the SEC Tournament and will play Thursday evening at 6 p.m. against either Mississippi State or LSU. If Mizzou win, they will go up against second-seed Florida.
