A two-vehicle crash north of Warsaw on Saturday, March 8 resulted in serious injury to one driver.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash three miles north of Warsaw in the northbound lanes of U.S. Route 65. According to troopers, just after 8 p.m., an SUV driven by a 65-year-old woman from Warsaw struck the rear of another vehicle, driven by a 79-year-old Warsaw man. The SUV then crossed the median and struck a guardrail. The woman was flown to a Columbia hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Troopers say the woman was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
