A key piece of the Kansas City Chiefs defense is reportedly staying put at Arrowhead Stadium for the next three years.

Multiple outlets are reporting that linebacker Nick Bolton will agree to a three-year deal worth $45 million, with $30 million of that guaranteed. Bolton led the Chiefs in tackles last year with 106, and also recorded three sacks, a forced fumble, and interception. The Mizzou product was drafted by the Chiefs in 2021 and has started in 65 games, including 19 last season. Bolton claimed a scoop-and-score in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVII victory to cap the 2022 season.

The deal is expected to become official once the new operating year for the NFL begins Wednesday, the first day free agents can start signing with new teams.
