The Missouri Valley College men’s wrestling team finished 15th in the nation at the 2025 NAIA Men’s Wrestling National Championship this weekend in Park City, Kansas, with two Vikings securing All-American honors.

Elijah Hynes achieved three-time All-American status by finishing seventh in the 197-pound weight class, despite falling into the consolation brackets early. Hynes dropped his second-round contest Thursday to tenth-seeded Austin Vanek of Montana State-Northern, before taking out wrestlers from schools in Texas, Florida, and Kansas. After losing an 18-1 technical fall in the fifth consolation round, Hynes defeatred Omari Smith of Oklahoma City in a 3-2 tiebreaker.

Francis Morrissey earned his second All-American finish by placing sixth in the 174-pound class, defeating second-seeded Tre Morrisette of Life University of Georgia in the quarterfinals before losing a narrow decision in the semis to Kris Ketchum of St Thomas in Florida. Morrissey lost the consolation semifinal to Daniil Gorshkov of Embry Riddle of Arizona and was a medical scratch from his last contest, conceding fifth place to Morrisette.

Missouri Valley brought nine wrestlers to nationals, claiming a team score of 31.5. Conference foes Grand View claimed their 13th national title in 14 years, with their wrestlers winning six of the ten weight classes.
