Two area conferences still have boys’ basketball teams alive in the MSHSAA Class Four tournament, following their wins Monday, March 10.

The Mexico Bulldogs defeated Orchard Farm 55-49 in St Charles to advance to the quarterfinals. They’ll host perennial power Vashon on Friday night at 6 p.m. Meanwhile, the Center Yellowjackets went down Interstate 49 to eliminate Nevada 45-36. That’ll set up a quarterfinal tilt Friday night against St Joseph Benton, which Center will host.

The girls’ Class Four sectional contests are Tuesday, with Boonville traveling west to Notre Dame de Sion in Kansas City. Mexico’s girls have a chance to also advance to the quarterfinals, when they visit Westminster Christian.
