A two-vehicle crash on Interstate-70 left two Kentucky residents injured on Tuesday, March 11.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred when a vehicle driven by a Springfield man attempted to change lanes on I-70 on the Lamine River Bridge. The vehicle struck another vehicle driven by a 42-year-old Kentucky woman, forcing the truck into the wall of the bridge.

The Kentucky woman suffered moderate injuries in the crash. An eight-year-old passenger in her vehicle had minor injuries. Both were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The accident occurred at 10:30 a.m. in Cooper County.
