The Concordia R-2 Board of Education approved a bid to replace toilets for district buildings during its meeting on Wednesday, March 12.
Superintendent Theresa Christian says the board wanted local contractors to oversee the project, which is why they accepted the bid from Kuecker Construction Company. Christian says this is a necessary project to help improve plumbing facilities in the district’s buildings.
Christian says the work will take place over the summer, with the project to be completed by the start of the next school year.
In other news, the CHS Booster Club is hosting a board candidate forum at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at the Concordia Elementary School Library. This event gives community members the opportunity to hear from the Board of Education candidates running on the April 8th ballot. These candidates include Nathan Nelson, Scott Gard, Yvonne Mitkos, Paula Lynn Tyler, Ryan Alan Maggert, Leslie Basye, and Benjamin Wayne Woods.
