
Flags at fire stations across Missouri will be at half-staff for a second day, in memory of a second area firefighter who recently died after responding to a blaze.
Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe issued a proclamation Friday, directing flags at stations across the state, as well as at the Missouri Firefighters Memorial in Kingdom City and at all buildings in Cooper County, lowered Saturday, March 15, 2025 in remembrance of 64-year-old Donald Kammerich of Pilot Grove. Kammerich was the deputy fire chief for the Pilot Grove Area Fire Protection District. He passed away unexpectedly at his home the evening of Monday, March 10, 2025, hours after responding to a pair of natural cover fires.
The Mass of Christian Burial for 64-year-old Donald Kammerich of Pilot Grove will be Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at the St Joseph Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the St John Cemetery in Clear Creek.
