Jimmie L. March Sr., 81, of rural Marshall, MO, died Thursday, March 13, 2025, at his home.

Memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born October 2, 1943, in Corning, AR, he was the son of the late Lawrence Otis March and Lillie Mae Lapiro March. On April 19, 1968, he married Peggy A. Hackworth who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall since May 29, 1970 and worked at Wilson Foods, Ham Hill Farms and retired from Tyson Foods. After retirement, he worked part time at S & S Farms.  He loved to coon hunt and fish.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy; three children, Robert G. March (Jennifer) of Sweet Springs, MO, Jimmie L. March Jr. (Courtney) of Houstonia, MO and Sherry L. Lovell of rural Marshall; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert “Bob” March of Fairview, AR; three sisters, Leona Hartzog of Florida, Pearl “Lou” Reynolds of Oregon and Brenda Sanders of Poplar Bluff, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by one son, Jay Harold March; two grandsons, Chase March and Trenton Robb; and four brothers, Odis, Raymond, Charles “Chuck” and John March.
