Moberly Public Utility crews are conducting water main work next week, which will lead to an interruption in water service as well as a boil advisory for some residents in the city.

Crews are conducting work on a water main in the 700th block of South 5th Street on Tuesday, March 18. This work will necessitate an outage in water services for residents on the 700th and 800th blocks of South 5th Street, and may affect some in the surrounding areas.

If residents experience low water pressure, or have no water, in their area, there will be a 48-hour Boil Advisory once water service is restored. Boil advisories are due to the time required for testing to confirm water quality in the system. During an advisory, water used for consumption should be boiled for three minutes and cooled before drinking.
