
A truck driver from Ewing was injured after his vehicle went off the side of a Macon County highway Saturday, March 15.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the 76-year-old man was driving his semi east on U.S. Route 36 about three miles west of New Cambria, when just after 2 p.m., his truck struck the side of a bridge and went off the right side of the roadway. The truck then struck a tree and a creekbed. The driver was flown to a Columbia hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
