A one-vehicle accident was reported on Route H in Pettis County on Thursday, March 20.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when an 87-year-old Hughesville man experienced a medical episode while driving along southbound Route H near Fowler Road. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment, becoming airborne before striking the ground.

The driver was taken to a Columbia hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The driver was reportedly not wearing a seat-belt at the time of the crash.

The accident was reported at 3:17 p.m. in Pettis County.
