Dorson says both bids came within project estimates, with the roofing project expected to cost around $600,000 and HVAC project around $500,000. The school board also went forward with seeking bids for an outdoor lift. Dorson says the lift would come in handy for several projects.
Also at Wednesday night’s meeting, the New Franklin school board approved the salary schedule for the next school year, and declared two older buses along with 36 tires as surplus. Dorson says the surplus inventory will be listed for sale later this month on the district’s website.
