Vicki Lynn Surber, 66, of Marshall, MO, died Thursday, March 20, 2025, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with Rev. Randal Huff officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to family choice.  An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born June 8, 1958, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Edward Doud and Helen Maxine Huff Doud Combs, and the stepdaughter of the late James “Jim” Combs who was a father figure as well since Edward died when she was five.  She married Jerry L. Surber who preceded her in death on April 13, 2001.  Vicki lived in Marshall her entire life and worked at various places as a nurse’s aide.  She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include one daughter, Clarissa Leimkuehler (Shawn) of rural Nelson; four grandchildren: Haley, Katilyn, Alyssa and Austin; two sisters, Phyllis Plains and Wanda Money of Marshall; her companion, Keith Zinn of Marshall; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather; one son, Randy Apel Jr.; one brother, Earl “Bud” Doud; and one sister, Helen Bueker.
