The Concordia Board of Aldermen considered a bid for concrete work at Concordia Park during a special meeting on Monday, March 24.
The board first reviewed the bids for this project on March 17, initially accepting what they though was the low bid during the meeting. However, City Administrator Dale Klussman said one of the bids ended up not getting reviewed by the board due to a mix-up prior to the meeting.
Aldermen reviewed this final bid during its special meeting, which came in lower than the bid the board accepted on March 17. The board had to repeal its initial motion in order to approve the low-bid from Stuenkel Brothers Concrete Construction.
Klussman said the work is expected to begin within the next few weeks.
The board also reviewed a presentation by RTI for technology and cybersecurity support. This is the third presentation the board has had regarding IT support, and the board plans to vote on a company during its next meeting in April.
