Two people were injured after their vehicle went off a Pettis County roadway and struck a building Tuesday, March 25.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 32-year-old Sedalia man was driving his vehicle south on Route E around 8:30 p.m., when south of Maltsbarger Road he swerved to avoid hitting a deer. The vehicle went off the roadway and down an embankment, eventually hitting a metal shed. The driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at a nearby hospital, while a 28-year-old passenger from Green Ridge sustained moderate injury and was taken to a Columbia hospital. Troopers say both passengers were not wearing their seatbelts.
