An Odessa man was injured after hitting a deer on a Lafayette County roadway on Friday, March 28.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred as a 20-year-old Odessa man was riding his motorcycle on Missouri 224 in Lafayette County at 4:40 p.m. The driver struck a deer in the roadway and was ejected from the motorcycle near Myrick Road.

The driver suffered serious injuries in the accident and was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment.
