The Missouri Department of Transportation will resume work to resurface the southbound lanes of U.S. Route 63 in Randolph County this week.

In addition to a new road surface, several ramps will also undergo diamond-grinding, including the on-ramp from U.S. Route 24, the southbound ramps with Route M or Urbandale Drive, and the off-ramps to Route EE or Rollins Street in Moberly, along with the off-ramp to Route 22 outside Sturgeon. Several sections of southbound U.S. 63 between U.S. 24 and Urbandale will also receive diamond-grinding. Where crews are working, one lane will remain open with a 12-foot width restriction on U.S. 63, and 10-foot lane restrictions along the ramps. All work is weather-dependent and subject to change.

The $6.6 million project was awarded last year to Capital Paving and Construction of Columbia. The contract also covered the repaving of 7.5 miles of Route 24 west of Huntsville.
