The Kansas City Royals thumped the Milwaukee Brewers 11-1 behind strong pitching and good production from the entire lineup.

The slow start to the season continues for Milwaukee as Kansas City took the lead early, scoring four runs in the first two innings. Maikel Garcia capped off the early scoring with his second home run of the year.

Kris Bubic kept the Milwaukee bats silent, going six scoreless innings, giving up just three hits and fanning eight batters.

The Royals erupted for six runs in the seventh, with Salvador Perez starting the rally with a lead-off homer.

Reliever Angel Zerpa allowed a run in the bottom of the seventh, but Kansas City would add on one more in the ninth for good measure.

Bubic picked up his first win of the season, and Jonathan India had three hits and two RBIs.
