Several road projects are underway in our area, including a culvert replacement Tuesday, April 1 outside Marceline.

In Chariton County, Route ZZ will close Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to complete a culvert replacement between Peden Chapel and Morton roads.

Roadways in two other counties are in the midst of resurfacing projects. In Cooper County, work continues to apply a new surface to routes HH, KK, NN, and T, as well as in Howard County along Routes A, E, and AA. Pavement repairs are scheduled on Route 124 this week between Routes 240 and Y. In these work zones, one lane will remain open, with a flag crew directing traffic. Some work zones will include the use of a pilot car.
