Two area women were injured after a collision along Interstate 70 on Tuesday, April 1 in Lafayette County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred just before 1:30 p.m. about a mile east of the Route T exit near Aullville. According to troopers, a pickup driven by a 49-year-old Concordia woman was eastbound on the interstate when she exited the roadway and struck a westbound van on the outer road that was driven by a 78-year woman from Lexington. The van’s driver had serious injuries and was taken to a Kansas City area hospital, while the pickup’s driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to another area hospital.
