The Chief Mason Griffith Foundation is hosting an event to honor and support the family of a fallen firefighter.

The foundation is holding a free-will donation meal and dessert auction on Sunday, April 6, at the Sweet Springs American Legion Hall to support the family of fallen firefighter Captain Christopher Clevenger.

The foundation’s Western Coordinator Jessica White says the meal begins at noon, ad will have both dine-in and drive through options available.

The dessert auctions begins at 2 p.m. White notes there will also be a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction at the event. White says the Chief Mason Griffith Foundation’s goals is help families who experience hardships.

All the proceeds from the event will go towards the wife and children of Captain Clevenger.
