
Five Marshall residents are facing drug-related charges after their arrest Wednesday, April 2 by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies executed a search warrant Wednesday on the 300 block of Mitchell Street in Marshall. According to the sheriff’s department, deputies located methamphetamine in the residence along with paraphernalia and other items associated with drug trafficking. Probable cause statements allege that some of the residents were also in possession of other drugs including opiates. Five people were arrested, and deputies say the five all submitted urine samples for testing, which all came back positive for the presence of methamphetamine. Deputies also noted that three juveniles lived in the home.
Four of the suspects—Joshua L Blackerby, Aaron D Oltmer, Deborah E Oltmer, and Danyelle M Smith—are facing felony charges of possession of controlled substance and first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, as well as a misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Smith is also facing a felony charge of tampering with physical evidence. Bonds for the four range from $10,000 to $25,000. A fifth suspect, Katie Ann Nicol, faces a misdemeanor charge of possessing drug paraphernalia. Court hearings for the five are pending.
