
Wanda Lee Marcum, 79, of Marshall, MO, formerly of Gravois Mills, died Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at The Arbors in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Ridge Park Cemetery or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Born April 6, 1945, in Scottsbluff, NE, she was the daughter of the late Delbert H. Self and Vineda Korte Self. Wanda graduated from Moberly Junior College as an LPN and worked as a school nurse in Morgan County. On June 16, 2007, she married Larry “Peanuts” Marcum who preceded her in death on May 28, 2019. She enjoyed quilting, needle work, and anything to do with arts and crafts. Wanda was raised in the rural Arrow Rock area, where she was a member of Arrow Rock Federated Church, but lived in the Gravois Mills and Jefferson City areas most of her life.
Survivors include three granddaughters: Rachel Ann Lee of Novi, MI, Rebecca Kay Miner (Shane) of Columbia and Sarah Mae Lee of Columbia; two great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Hannah Miner; four siblings: Leon Self (Mary) of Kaukana, WI, Jenny Grapes (Ken) of Marshall, Sylvia O’Bryan (Bob) of Marshall and Gene Self (Jackie) of Columbia, MO; a son-in-law, Brian Lee of Columbia; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two daughters, Vonda Green and Rhonda Lee; and one sister, Evelyn Laxson.
