
One lane of eastbound Interstate 70 over the Lamine River will close Monday, April 7 for a bridge maintenance project.
Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will close the right lane of the freeway at the bridge beginning Monday at 7 p.m., with the lane reopening the following morning at 6 a.m. The lane closure will occur nightly for at least the next month.
Three bridge rehabilitation projects are scheduled in northern Missouri. The Route B bridge over Camp Creek north of Wakenda in Carroll County will be reduced to one lane Monday. Crews will also start a rehabilitation project for the Route P bridge in Chariton County over Puzzle Creek northeast of Bynumville, and the Route C bridge over Hickory Branch just east of Route 11.
Several other projects are continuing around the area. Resurfacing continues along Cooper County routes KK, W and T, as well as in eastern Howard County along Route A between Routes B and 124, and Route EE between routes A and J. Also in Howard County, pavement repairs are scheduled Monday through Thursday along Route 5 in Fayette from Davis Street to Park Avenue, and Route 124 from routes 240 to Y. One lane will remain open through each of these work zones, with a flag crew directing traffic. Pavement repairs are also scheduled along westbound U.S. Route 50 in eastern Moniteau County on Tuesday and Wednesday.
In Chariton County, pothole patching is planned for Monday along Route W north of Salisbury, as is Route ZZ east of Marceline in Linn County. Concrete replacements are also scheduled on the eastbound driving lane of U.S. Route 36 this week, starting Monday and Tuesday between Huron Road and Route 11.
