Thomas H. “Tom” Harris, 90, of Marshall, formerly of rural Gilliam, died Monday, April 7, 2025 at The Living Center in Marshall.

Graveside services with military honors will be Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Gilliam Cemetery, with Terry Jordan officiating. Visitation will follow the graveside service at the cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Gilliam Cemetery or High Hill Cemetery in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Born October 14, 1934 in rural Slater, he was the son of the late Charles R. “Chick” Harris and Minnie Bohlken Harris. On January 3, 1955 in Gilliam, he married Beverly Narron, and she preceded him in death on September 3, 2021.

He is survived by a son, Jeff Harris and his wife Bethany of Marshall; a daughter, Gayle Roder and her husband Robert of rural Gilliam; four grandchildren, Kane Roder and his wife Jennifer, Kallie Roder, Drew Harris and his wife Betsy, and Logan Harris and his wife Nicole; and seven great-grandchildren, Kielin Roder, Kenzlee Roder, Gunner Roder, Clayton Roder, Colby Roder, Henry Judah Harris, and Thomas Michael Harris. He was preceded in death by a brother, Neale Harris.

Mr. Harris was a member of the Gilliam Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post #78, and a 50-year member of the V.F.W. Post #4367, both in Slater. He was a 1952 graduate of Slater High School. For a number of years, he worked as a carpenter, having co-owned and operated M&H Builders. He also worked as a Clerk for the Slater Cooperative #1, and farmed in rural Gilliam.
