The City of Sedalia says despite several complaints received about a street serving several businesses in the west part of the city, it’s up to those businesses to fix it.
In a statement released Friday, April 11, Community Engagement Director Jessica Hoffman says that the city is aware of the condition of the roadway that runs between Wincester and Westwood roads, featuring a pair of sizable potholes. Hoffman notes that the city declared the roadway a private street in 2021, meaning that businesses served by the road are responsible for its maintenance. She says the city staff have contacted three of the four businesses and are hopeful that repairs will be made soon.
