Three Marshall teenagers were injured after their vehicle went off a Saline County roadway just before midnight Thursday, April 10.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 16-year-old girl was driving the vehicle north on Lime Avenue, about three miles east of Marshall. According to the report, the vehicle was a half-mile south of Route 240 when the driver lost control on loose gravel, causing the vehicle to skid. The vehicle then went off the left side of the road, struck a ditch and was overturned. The driver suffered serious injury and was flown to a Columbia hospital. A 15-year-old girl suffered moderate injury, as did a 19-year-old man; both were taken to a nearby hospital. Troopers say the two girls were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
