A one-vehicle crash in Cooper County on Thursday, April 10 sent the pickup’s driver to the hospital with serious injury.

The Missouri State Highway patrol responded to the crash on Route 179 north of Wooldridge near Campbell Bridge Drive around 3:50 p.m. According to the patrol’s report, the 60-year-old man from Jamestown was driving south on the highway when his pickup went off the right side of the road, hit an embankment and overturned. The driver was taken to a Columbia hospital. Troopers say the driver was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
