A Mayview man sustained serious injury after losing control of his all-terrain vehicle Saturday, April 12.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the 44-year-old was riding his Kawasaki on private property at an address on Route H when after 6 p.m., the ATV went airborne, then struck the ground and overturned. The man was flown to a Kansas City hospital. Satellite imagery of the location identified by the Patrol indicates that the crash occurred on an off-road course south of Mayview.
