A pair of Odessa residents were injured when their vehicles collided on Interstate 70 late Wednesday, April 16.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that just after 11 a.m., a 53-year-old woman was driving west on I-70 when at around the 30.2 mile marker, her pickup went off the left side of the highway and struck the median cables. Her truck continued through the cables and into the path of another pickup, driven by a 36-year-old man, resulting in a head-on collision. Both drivers were taken to a Kansas City area hospital; the female driver had moderate injuries while the male driver experienced minor injury. Troopers say both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
