The Moberly School District Board of Education certified the April Municipal Election results and elected new board officers during its meeting on Tuesday, April 15.

Dan Wilcox returned to the board, collecting 409 votes for re-election. Jessica Taylor was also elected to the board with 388 votes and was sworn in during the meeting. Jimmy O’Loughlin came up just short in the election, finishing with 362 votes.

The board also elected Susanna Freeman as Board President and Heather Clevinger as Vice President. Superintendent Cristina Wright spoke about the board’s transition with the new leadership and members.

In other news, the board approved an increase the substitute daily pay rates for the 2025-2026 school year. Wright says the increase in pay will help the district compete for high quality substitute teachers.

The increase takes effect August 1.
