Another bridge over Interstate 70 in Saline County is coming down next week for replacement.

Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will bring down the Route Y bridge at Exit 62, outside Emma, beginning Monday. Interstate 70 will be reduced to one lane in each direction, using the exit ramps, on Monday and Tuesday. Traffic on Route Y will not be able to access the interstate and will be diverted onto the outer roads. After the bridge is removed, traffic will return to Interstate 70, with the ramps resuming access to Route Y until they’re closed for replacement later in the project. MoDOT plans to have the replacement bridge and ramps completed by Dec. 1.
