The Glasgow School District Board of Education approved an increase to the base salary of certified and non-certified staff during its April board meeting.

The board gave approval to a $500 increase to the salary of certified staff, raising the district’s base salary to $38,750. The board also approved a $0.43 per hour raise for non-certified staff.

In addition to the salary increases, the board approved the new insurance consortium, Missouri Educators’ Trust (MET), to provide district employees health insurance with Blue Access. The District will fund $673 per month for employee health insurance. This is a $58 per month increase per employee over last year’s premium.

The board then swore in board members Jeremiah Johnson and Bob Draffen for three-year terms and elected board officers. Draffen was elected as President, Dave McKenzie as Vice-President, Amber Monnig as Treasurer, and Chad Fuemmeler as Secretary.
