A two-vehicle collision west of Sedalia on Thursday, April 17 sent a Knob Noster woman to the hospital.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash on eastbound U.S. Route 50 just after 6 a.m. outside Dresden. According to the report, the 63-year-old woman from Knob Noster was stopped at the traffic light at the intersection with Route MM, when a pickup driven by a 28-year-old Warrensburg man collided with the rear of her vehicle as he was attempting to slow down. The woman was taken to a Kansas City area hospital with moderate injury; troopers say they haven’t determined if she was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash. The Warrensburg driver had no reported injuries.
