The St. Louis Cardinals dropped its second straight game to the New York Mets, falling 5-4 after a walk-off home run from Francisco Lindor.

St. Louis struck first, scoring runs in the second and fourth after RBI hits from Jordan Walker and Pedro Pages. The Mets would tie the game with a pair of runs in the fifth inning. The Cardinals would get a run back in the sixth after Nolan Arenado drove home a run, but New York countered with runs in the sixth and eighth to take a 4-3 lead heading into the ninth.

Brendan Donovan hit a game tying home run to knot the game up at four, however, Lindor responded with a solo shot to win the game for New York.

Miles Mikolas went 4.2 innings, giving up two runs on five hits. Ryan Fernandez took the loss, giving up the walk-off homer in the ninth.

The Cardinals fall to 9-11 on the season. St. Louis will continue its series with New York today. First pitch is at 3:05 p.m.
