The City of Moberly is advising residents and businesses on 40 city blocks of a interruption to their water service planned for April 21, 2025.
Utility crews will replace two valves Monday along South Williams. The work will take place between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Generally, residents in an area bound by the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks on the east, West Rollins on the north, South Fifth Street on the west, and West McKinsey Street on the south, will experience a loss of service Monday and be under a boil advisory for 48 hours once service is restored. Residents along Epperson Street, Fort Street, West Lee, West Logan and West Fisk streets east of Epperson, and Gilman Street east of Fort are also impacted by the planned service interruption.
Residents who lose water service or experience low water pressure will need to bring any water used for consumption to a boil for three minutes, then allow it to cool before drinking. Any Moberly residents with questions can call the city’s water office at 660-263-4420.
