While one crossing in western Saline County is in the midst of replacement, another bridge southeast of Malta Bend has had its weight limit reduced.

Gooden notes that the Saline County Commission has received several calls concerning washouts and similar damage caused by last weekend’s heavy rainfall. She encourages residents who come across issues with county roadways to call commissioners at 660-886-7777.

Gooden’s comments came after the commission’s regular session Wednesday, April 23, where commissioners agreed to the hire of Bailey Welch at the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, approved eight liquor licenses, and accepted the fourth quarter assessment report.
