
Danny Franklin Crawford, 69, of Concordia, MO, passed away on April 21, 2025, at the Mid-America Heart Institute in Kansas City.
Danny was born in Romulus, NY, on March 1, 1956, and was the son of the late Frankie Crawford and Mary Fizer Crawford. He was married to Kaye Portell for 20 years and they had one son, Jeffrey Alan Crawford. Danny then married Jackie Frerking on August 12, 2000, when he then became a step-dad to four daughters. Together they shared a loving relationship for almost 25 years. They loved to travel and see the world, listen to gospel music, and for Danny, especially bluegrass music.
Danny attended school in Corder and Higginsville, MO, graduating from Higginsville in 1974. He worked for multiple companies doing electrical work, was an over-the-road truck driver for many years, co-owned Topsy’s Café in Concordia for 11 years with Jackie, along with many other professions in his time.
Danny grew up attending the Corder Baptist Church where he was baptized, but was most recently a member of the Waverly Assembly Church where he was a deacon.
Danny was preceded in death by his mom, Mary, and dad, Frankie. He is survived by his wife, Jackie, of the home; brother, Randy (Tisha) Crawford of Higginsville; son, Jeffrey Crawford of Concordia; daughters, Justine (Gerald) Julian of Sugar Creek, Jeanette (Jerry) Goodman of Higginsville, Julie (Michael) Imes of Oak Grove and Jami (Wes) Homfeld of Higginsville; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Casket Bearers will be Tanner Crawford, Daniel Crawford, Darrel Crawford, Eric Goodman, Blayne Homfeld, Andy Conner.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia. Burial will follow in Corder Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia.
