The Moberly City Council considered a resolution for a permanent roadway easement for a sidewalk improvement project during its meeting on Monday, April 21.
Community Relations Manager Scott McGarvey says the easement is necessary to help the city work with the Missouri Department of Transportation on a sidewalk project on Route EE/Rollins Street. McGarvey says the project will help improve accessibility for city residents.
The council approved the resolution and will move forward with the project.
The council also gave approval to a contract with Mid-Continental Restoration Company for repairs to the Municipal Auditorium. McGarvey highlights some of the maintenance work that needs to be completed at the building.
The council approved Mid-Continental’s proposal at a little more than $54,000 for the repairs.
