
A Knob Noster man died after his motorcycle was struck on a Johnson County highway Wednesday, April 23.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 63-year-old man was riding his motorcycle westbound on U.S. Route 50 about a mile west of Pittsville, when at around 5:20 p.m., an SUV driven by a 35-year-old woman from Kingsville changed into his lane, striking the motorcycle. The motorcycle overturned, ejecting the driver. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Johnson County Coroner. No injuries were reported for the other driver.
This is the 21st fatality recorded by the patrol’s Troop A in 2025.
