The trial for a Sedalia man accused of being an accessory to murder has been delayed to June.
A Pettis County judge granted a joint request for continuance Tuesday, delaying the trial of 30-year-old Kyle P Henley to the week of June 3. Henley is accused of being an accessory to murder in the second degree, accessory to unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, and hindering the prosecution of a felony. Henley was initially arrested by Sedalia Police in April of last year, accused of hindering the investigation of a shooting that occurred April 9, 2024 in the 400 block of North Prospect. A woman reported being shot there and was taken to a nearby hospital, and died from her injuries a month later.
A grand jury in Pettis County handed down the indictment against Henley in August. Another indictment was filed against 24-year-old Bear Hagston, who is charged with first-degree murder and three other charges. Hagston’s trial is scheduled for the week of July 7.
