Seth Lugo tossed eight scoreless innings to help the Kansas City Royals take down the Houston Astros 2-0 on Friday, April 21.

Lugo was brilliant in the winning effort, striking out eight to pick up his second win of the season. He scattered three hits and a walk over his eight innings of work.

The Royals got just enough runs support, scoring runs in the fifth and sixth wit sac-flies from Kyle Isbel and Hunter Renfroe.

Bobby Witt Jr. had three hits to extend his hitting streak to 17 games.

Lucas Erceg picked up the save with a scoreless ninth.

The Royals improve to 13-14 on the season. They’ll go for the series win over Houston today with Michael Wacha on the mound. Pregame begins at 5:30, with first pitch at 6:10 p.m. on KMMO FM 102.9.
