Nolan Arenado hit a walk-off home run in the ninth to help the St. Louis Cardinals take the first two in its three game series against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Cardinals gave starter Sonny Gray plenty of run support, scoring the first five runs in the game, striking in the second inning with a sacrifice fly from Pedro Pages.

Lars Nootbar and Brendan Donovan both drove home runs in the third with doubles. The Cardinals added to their lead in the fourth with another RBI hit from Nootbar.

Gray went six innings, giving up three runs on seven hits and three walks.

Ryan Helsley came on in the ninth with St. Louis leading 5-3, but gave up a game-tying two-run home run from Jackson Chourio.

The the game tied at five in the bottom of the ninth, that set the stage for Arenado to drill an 0-1 pitch into the left field seats for his third home run of the season, walking it off for St. Louis.

The Cardinals improve to 12-15 on the season. St. Louis will go for the series sweep on Sunday, April 27. First pitch at Busch Stadium will be at 1:15 p.m.
